Half of the year has gone; spring has come and gone and now it is summer. Thanks to more than abundant rain, the world is green and lush and I haven’t had to do a lot of watering so far, which suits me just fine.

Finally, the weather is getting warmer. I actually ditched the socks this weekend and went barefoot for the first time in months. Perennials are sprouting up so fast you can almost see them grow.

Nearly three weeks into spring and we finally have a nice day; sunny and warm with nearly perfect blue skies. Buds are ready to burst with color, birds are singing in just about every tree. I turn my face up to the sun, feeling the warmth on my skin.

The days just leading up to the start of spring were balmy and buds swelled visibly. Then, spring arrived and temperatures headed down. It snowed, rained, hailed. Next a dry and windy day, followed by more snow and rain. Enough already, I am ready for warmer spring weather.
